Outdoor Audio Upgrade

We saved summer!

Initial Brief

We had a client who had recently acquired a home with a Control4 Home automation system, Through a recommendation from an existing client they got in touch to give their system a once over & that they were having a party on the weekend and couldn’t get the outside speakers to work at all. When we arrived it took us a while to locate the outdoor audio equipment as it wasn’t immediately obvious. Upon finding it we saw that the Amps powering the speakers were in a poor state and likely had failed due to the condition they were in.

As you can see they were covered in webs and it looked like they had also become a home to many insects…

Our Proposal

We suggested to replace the current amps for new ones, tidy up the infrastructure and mount everything into a cabinet so it was out of the way.

The Finished Product

Here we have the final Product.

As each amp has a DSP we tuned this to get the most out of the speakers and subwoofer.

5u Vertical Mounted rack – with a top panel on hinges for access, the cover of the rack also comes off for easy maintenance.
2 Episode 70/100v amps (one for the garden area one for the hot tub area)
Network switch for the amps so they can be connected and all controlled via control4.
